Recently, Danny Young, a talented Nigerian artist lamented on his Instagram page that the popular, talented and international female singer, Twa savage stole his song. However, it has been gathered by a popular Nigerian online media that the line first appeared in King Sunny Ade Miracle God in the 80s. See video below:
While Danny Young continues to insist that Tiwa Savage stole part of his song for her new single, One; we know a song that predates the two of them. It’s King Sunny Ade’s Miracle God from 1987. Can you guys hear the similarities? pic.twitter.com/PZ1rEwM32U

consumernewsng.com also gathered that the line is a popular Yoruba proverb that could be used by anybody. The question is, how could Danny Young lay claim to a proverb? Tiwa savage is from the west, so also is Danny Young and they both have the right to use that proverb or adage as the case maybe.
On the other hand, both of them might be considered guilty. Nevertheless, King Sunny Ade never attacked Danny Young when he released the song, maybe because King Sunny Ade understands that the adage belongs to the Yoruba forefathers. Therefore, it’s either sunny ade, Danny young and Tiwa Savage are all guilty of intellectual property theft or Tiwa and Danny are both guilty.
One thing is sure, Danny young is not the original owner of that adage.
