Funmi Bank Anthony reveals what grandpa did with assets as man Laments how his father duped him of 150k

Funmi Bank-Anthony, an actress and the granddaughter of the late Sir Mobolaji Bank-Anthony recently revealed that her granddad never left anything for his children when he died.

In an interview with The Sun, she mentioned that the late Bank-Anthony had 48 house in Lagos, but willed everything to the less privileges.

When asked on how she ventured into philanthropy, Funmi said it started with her late grandpa

“It started with my grandfather, Sam Mobolaji Bank-Anthony. When he died, he wrote in his will that all his belongings be donated to the less privileged, even including the spoons. He had about 48 houses in Lagos and he declared that all be given to the motherless (children) and that is so huge for me, because I see it that he left us to suffer.
“If he had left the houses in Lagos for us, I would be a multi-billionaire today, even as a grandchild. He was one of the richest men in Nigeria and he didn’t leave anything for us. That was deep for me. I see it that the things you boast of today can be taken away from you within the twinkling of an Thank eye. It then dawned on me that I could lose the things I have.

So, philanthropy came out of the fear of losing the things I have. So, I would rather give it out than lose them when I am gone, though some people take you for granted when they know you are excessively nice” she said

Man reveals how his dad scammed him of N150,000

A Nigerian medical doctor, Dr. Ayeni has revealed how his dad allegedly scammed him of a sum of N150,000.

According to the doctor, his father called him and requested for the money with the excuse that he needed to repair the roof of his house damaged by rain. He sent the money immediately, only to realise it was a lie and that the roof had been in a perfect condition.

He then confronted his dad and demanded to know why he lied, only to be told that he was paid back with the coin he sold to them as a student – He also lied to get money from them while in school.

He wrote:

My dad once called me & told me that rain has removed the roof of our house & he needs 150k to fix it ASAP. I quickly sent it. I only realised later that it was a lie & when I confronted him, he said, “You think all those lies you told when you were in sch, we didn’t know?”
